Legendary Blues Singer Etta James Dead At 73

Star Died From Leukemia

One of soul music’s greatest voices, Etta James, has died from complications with Leukemia.

The troubled life of James was chronicled in the movie “Cadillac Records” and Beyonce played the part of the blues legend. The film showcased her battle with a heroin addiction and turbulent journey to stardom.

James has won three Grammy awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She also influenced dozens of singers like Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion and Janis Joplin.

Some of her most memorable songs were “At Last,” “I’d Rather Go Blind,” and “Call My Name.”
