Juror Says Zimmerman “Got Away With Murder”

The “not guilty” verdict was rendered almost two weeks ago, but people are still talking about Trayvon Martin’s death, George Zimmerman and the jury that acquitted him. In a CNN interview, Juror B37 attempted to explain to the world how she and a jury of five other women came to their decision. What she actually did was made most people feel that she was uninformed and although it took over 15 hours to announce their verdict, made a hasty decision. The other jurors distanced themselves from her after the interview.

ABC has reported that  in an interview with Good Morning America, another juror, B29, identifying herself as Maddy, is telling Robin Roberts what many of us have been saying all along, Zimmerman “got away with murder”. Juror B37 blurred her face during her Anderson Cooper interview, but Maddy, although concerned for her safety, has decided to allow her face to be shown.

As the only minority in the jury, many are wondering how Maddy could overlook the obvious racial undertones of the case and still find him not guilty. “You can’t put the man in jail even though in our hearts we felt he was guilty,” the  mother of eight said.  “But we had to grab our hearts and put it aside and look at the evidence.” She insists that the evidence did not prove murder, judging by Florida law.

Does this make you feel any better or worse about the verdict heard around the world?
