Sadly, our justice system doesn’t understand that this strong disregard for the people who are affected by these crimes, results in an emotional backlash from the community.
We don’t mean to pull such a trying card during a time of sadness and our hearts are with both families as the situations are unfortunate. Yet we are well aware that each predicament was obviously not child safe and the image of the black parents was so easily tarnished.

Why are people in positions of power making poor decisions that lead to or are conducive to more risky behavior. 6 months for raping someone conscious or unconscious is unacceptable and this sentence should be overturned.
