'Minecraft' Gets Its First Live Concert Minecraft has seen its fair many real-world crossovers, but there's nothing like this. Norway's annual The Gathering technology conference will present a live show tonight at 9PM local (4PM Eastern). Volunteers will be resembling the artists on Minecraft as they move around the stage. And this isn't a small production, either -- AlunaGeorge, Broiler and Lemaitre are scheduled to perform, so you should be in for a good time whether you're looking at the real artists or their blocky avatars. It's not able to replicate the feel of the real thing, but it might provide an empathetic feel to it than watching a video stream. servers This also means there's a limited amount of space. The organizers note that there's only space for 23,000 to 3,000 people and you should join the Minecraft server as soon as you can (if you're reading this in time) to have a chance of seeing what all the excitement is about.
