How To: Create A Free Server With Aternos - A Tutorial For Minecraft Step 1: Register an account To start a server, you will need an account. Those are very easy to create: First you must enter on "https://aternos.org/signup/". There you can select a username. Next, you will need to create a new password and then copy it. Or you can connect your Google account to have the same password as your account. Step 2: Create the server. Once we have logged in, it is time to start creating the server. To begin, press the "+ Create Server" button. Now you have the option to add a name, description, or use the defaults. (NOTE: If Java Edition is not activated, the tutorial will not work!) Step 3: Configure your server. Firstly, configure your server before you can open it. This is a tricky part, so I recommend you read the steps multiple times. Go to the left side and you will see a menu that contains different sections. Click on "Options". SYSTEM32 The first thing we see is a small menu to change everything from Step 2, put an image to our server, purchease a custom domain and restart all the server files. Below is a larger menu that includes basic settings. These are: Max Players - Changes the limit on how many players can join the server. - Gamemode – Changes default spawn gamemode. - Difficulty- Changes the difficulty level in the world. - Whitelist- Toggle to see the verified players list. - Cracked - Toggle if non-premium users can join your server (Skins will be disabled). - PvP- Toggle to see if users can fight. - Command blocks - Check if the command block is available. - Flight- Toggle to see if users can fly. - Animals: Toggle if passive animals can spawn all over the globe. Monsters - See if aggressive creatures can spawn anywhere in the world. - NPCs- Seek out if villager spawn anywhere in the globe. - Nether: Toggle if Nether may be accessible - Force Gamemode - Toggle if a gamemode is obligatory. Spawn protection - Change the invencibility period when the user respawns. - Require Resource pack - Attach a resource/texture package to your server. - Resource Pack URL Link for "Require Resources Pack" option - Timezone – Select the timezone from server. - Environment - Select Java version. - OP Permission Level: Select from 1 to 4. Now we must click on "Software". You can now choose the type of Minecraft you want to play (Vanilla or modded, with plugins). FINISHED CREATING SERVER! I will soon show you how to configure the gameplay!
