For some reason, billionaire Donald Trump has a thing for the Sistas. Most of us remember Omarosa Stallworth from Trump’s hit show The Apprentice, as well as appearances on The Surreal Life and finally as a bachelorette on The Ultimate Merger, an upscale dating show which exploits 12 high-standard suitors who vie for the love of one woman. As Omarosa’s settled down with Michael Clarke Duncan, Trump is left to find a replacement for the love/hate personality his former associate displayed. So, who does Donald choose to follow in her footsteps? Toccara Jones!
Yes, Toccara Jones! The former ANTM contestant/TV personality/style contributor is rumored to have been tapped by Trump Enterprises for a deal of a lifetime: to be crowned as the next bachelorette on The Ultimate Merger and choose from her pool of clamoring men. Say Trump of the upcoming expectations: “I know great TV, and Toccara will make great TV.” Now granted, Ms. Jones would be WONDERFUL to watch. With her sparkling and warm personality, and her “around the way girl” attitude, the Dayton, Ohio native would no doubt pull in views nationwide.
Now let’s do the math here: is it purely coincidence that Donald Trump sports two Black women for this dating series, or is this a more subtle way to get his swirl on? Is he merely tapping into an uncharted avenue of television which we have yet to walk, or is this a personal adoration converted into a media opportunity?
No matter what speculations arise, this should be a hilarious, nonetheless entertaining season of The Ultimate Merger. The series is set to premiere this summer, so until then, we will be reading more on this new endeavor featuring Ms. Jones and Mr. Trump!
