Some of you may have heard about famous puppeteer Kevin Clash, who voices the popular Sesame Street character Elmo, and his alleged  underage relationship with a 16 year old male. Clash is openly gay but denies that the accuser was underage and says it was a consensual relationship.

According to TMZ, “Sesame Workshop lawyers recently met with a 23-year-old man who claims he and Clash began a sexual relationship 7 years ago … when he was 16 and Clash was 45”. That was last week’s news. Now the accuser has taken back his story claiming that he was indeed of age during his and Clash’s alleged relationship.

As reported by TMZ:

The accuser’s lawyer just released a statement saying, “[The accuser] wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship. TMZ also reported that a six figure settlement was involved between the two parties’ lawyers and that it’s unclear why the accuser changed his story.

Clash has since taken a leave of absence from Sesame Street.
