Are Will and Jada Supposedly Under Investigation for Their Parenting Style?

Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith have never been shy about their fly by night, do as you please parenting style when it comes to raising  their children Jaden and Willow Smith. In an interview centered around a maybe a not so popular choice of movie for the actors (cough, cough, After Earth), Will openly gives his opinion about his approach to rearing children.

As reported by a previous edition of Metro:

We don’t do punishment. The way that we deal with our kids is, they are responsible for their lives. Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been — it has a little too much of a negative quality. So when they do things — and you know, Jaden, he’s done things — you can do anything you want as long as you can explain to me why that was the right thing to do for your life.

Jada has equally defended herself and her family’s style to life via Facebook, often posting lengthy statuses to address the backlash of the moment. Normally its just us common folks being critical and judgmental about this family that we all know but really know nothing about. However, with the family’s latest proof of parenting taboo, it seems that the people in the business of protecting children (yes even though the Smiths may treat their kids like adults, they’re technically and quite literally still children in the eyes of Johnny Law), have taken notice to what many have speculated about the famous family; and that’s basically that Will and Jada don’t know what they’re doing. We’re sorry Mr. and Mrs. Smith if you’re reading this but in layman’s terms that’s pretty much what all the nay sayers and critics think and or believe anyway, so why not just go ahead and say it?

According to Radar Online, Los Angeles CPS, that’s Child Protective Services, is investing the real reason behind the photo starring 13 year old Willow and a former, 20 year-old, shirtless Disney star on a bed together. Radar reported that the Smith parents are cooperating and understand the reason for the concern but are not happy campers about the situation. Of course we’ll have to wait out the results of the supposed investigation but honestly, there is probably no real issue to be found here. Yes they have non-traditional styles of parenting but if nothing else, it seems apparent that Jada and Will love their kids and wouldn’t intentionally put them in harms way.

What do you think? Is this issue investigation worthy?
