THE TITAN LAUNCHER As part of a nationwide campaign, the weapon was turned in to the Cleveland Police. The force said 15 firearms including air pistols, active AK-47s and shot guns were given up between 20 July and 3 August. People who surrender firearms do not face prosecution. They are allowed to remain anonymous. Before safely destroying any live weapons, officers will examine their history to determine if there is evidence of criminal activity. Insp Mark Pitt was the co-ordinator of this campaign. He stated that while we don't have a major issue with gun crimes, it is a priority to work with the community to reduce firearms vulnerability.
