Dina Lohan, mother of troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsey Lohan, had an awkward and confusing television interview on the Dr. Phil show Monday.

According to Access Hollywood, Lohan’s wacked out interview included phrases such as “You’re like in your little tie, your little shoes” and “So we’re friends? Nice shoes. I like them by the way. Can we pound that? Oh, no. OK,” while an utterly confused Dr. Phil stared helplessly on.

Lohan’s odd behavior may turn on light bulbs as to why her daughter Lindsey has had such a bad run over the past couple of years with car crashes, rehab and numerous appearances in court. Her wild behavior has not only put her on the wrong side of the law but has also dimmed her once glimmering acting career.

Access Hollywood also reported that witnesses didn’t smell alcohol on her breath but her ex-husband Michael Lohan, who joined the interview via satellite during a different segment, had a different theory.

“I’m an addiction specialist… I’m telling you now Dina was drinking based on the slurring of her speech, obviously on a sedative… that’s why she was so jittery”, said M. Lohan.
