THIS IS AN EPIDEMIC!
The Food & Drug Administration, FDA, has warned the public that imitation Adderall pills are being sold online to naive customers. Adderall, widely used ADHD drug, is being counterfeited! The FDA did a lab test on the counterfeit drug, purchased online, and said that the pill contained the pain killers tramadol and acetaminophen instead of its normal amphetamine-based active ingredients.
This online drug began being sold when the official Adderall was placed on the FDA’s drug shortage list. Adderall is a prescription amphetamine salts-based pill that is approved to treat attention deficit attention disorder hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. FDA predicts that there will be a wide shortage of Adderall across the U.S. because of the Drug Enforcement Administration and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
There are three ways to spot a counterfeit:
- The product comes in a blister package. Authentic Adderall pills are only packaged in 100-count bottles.
- There are misspellings on the package. For example, “NDS” instead of “NDC;” “Aspartrte” instead of “Aspartate;” “Singel” instead of “Single.”
- The tablets are white in color, round in shape, and smooth with no markings on them. Real Adderall 30 mg tablets are round, orange/peach-colored, and marked with “dp” on one side and “30” on the other side.
The FDA says that the rogue websites, distributors, and counterfeiters may be targeting drugs that are in a short supply. “The counterfeit drugs are to be considered unsafe, ineffective, and potentially harmful,” says the FDA.
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT IF YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE PURCHASED FAKE ADDERALL, TO STOP TAKING THE PILLS AND TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT YOUR CONDITION AND TREATMENT!
The government never proves me wrong when the public says that “it is always something.” For those who don’t know what that means, it says that whether it is a huge callback on a birth control pill OR a naked man eating the face of another man (see my other blog –> http://askdro.com/2012/05/naked-man-eats-homeless-man/) and it is blamed on some LSD-like “drug”! It never fails… something is always happening in this world.
However, news like this is only posted to keep you on your toes! If you feel that you have gotten an illegal or fake drug of some sort, please do not be afraid to come talk to me! We do not want you all to become victims to a situation like this.
