According to the NAACP, who are currently conducting an investigation, at least four teens chased a Black high school football player and put a noose around his neck. They then yanked the noose backward. This alledgedly occurred during football practice.
The flier headlines “Black Lives Matter Black Panthers” and reads that they “are telling followers to kill white people and police officers in the name of justice for killing Negro’s by policemen in the line of duty.”
NYPD has made a grave mistake and it seem they know it this time. On Tuesday, one of their officers fataly shot a 66-year-old African American woman who was yielding a bat. When attacked with the bat, Officer Hugh Barry chose to shoot her with his gun instead of using his taser. The shooting took place outside her home in Bronx, NY on Tuesday. Officer Barry has been a policeman for 8 years until yesterday when he was stripped of his badge. Deborah Danner had a history of crazy behavior and had several other incidents in which she had to be detained by police. The President of the Bronx Borough has stated,
It is fair to say justice was served in Apperson’s case, but is it safe to say the same for Zimmerman. NO! The message that the justice system is perpetuating is that crime is illusive. These definitions are becoming too situational, too flexible. To me, attempted murder is exactly that, the attempt to kill someone. So why isn’t Zimmerman in jail for actually killing a 17-year-old Black boy??
