Governor Nathan Deal stated, “The irony of some of the groups who are opposing doing something to help these minority children is beyond my logic. If you want to advance the state of Colored People, start wit their children.”
The historically Black, Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississipi survived bein set on fire and vandalized. The arsonist also decided to spray paint “VOTE TRUMP,” on it as well. The facility and surrounding areas are under investigation as the FBI expects that more unseen damage was done.
The flier headlines “Black Lives Matter Black Panthers” and reads that they “are telling followers to kill white people and police officers in the name of justice for killing Negro’s by policemen in the line of duty.”
NYPD has made a grave mistake and it seem they know it this time. On Tuesday, one of their officers fataly shot a 66-year-old African American woman who was yielding a bat. When attacked with the bat, Officer Hugh Barry chose to shoot her with his gun instead of using his taser. The shooting took place outside her home in Bronx, NY on Tuesday. Officer Barry has been a policeman for 8 years until yesterday when he was stripped of his badge. Deborah Danner had a history of crazy behavior and had several other incidents in which she had to be detained by police. The President of the Bronx Borough has stated,
It is fair to say justice was served in Apperson’s case, but is it safe to say the same for Zimmerman. NO! The message that the justice system is perpetuating is that crime is illusive. These definitions are becoming too situational, too flexible. To me, attempted murder is exactly that, the attempt to kill someone. So why isn’t Zimmerman in jail for actually killing a 17-year-old Black boy??
As a psychiatrist, it just appears to me that things are getting worse. It appears that candidates can say just about anything with no repercussions.
